Reinhold "Reiny" Deutscher

Reinhold "Reiny" Lawrence Deutscher, 78, of Jamestown, North Dakota died early Sunday morning, December 18, 2016 at Sanford Palliative Care Unit in Fargo. His death was a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Reiny was born April 10, 1938 to Alfred F. and Emma (Buck) Deutscher on their family farm near Streeter. He moved with his family to Streeter where he attended school. He worked on various farms until moving to Jamestown in approximately 1960. He began working for a local insulation and roofing business and later purchased and operated Dakota Insulation and Roofing. On July 18, 1964, he married Luella Vilhauer. He continued with his insulation business and began his 25+ years of employment for Reuben Liechty Farms. Their first daughter Trina Lenae was born in 1968 and then Tricia Larae in 1974. In 1992, he began working at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in maintenance. He retired in August of 2006.
Retirement allowed Reiny to spend more time with family including his two grandsons, Luke and Kamden. He enjoyed time spent hunting and fishing. He and Luella were avid Jimmie basketball fans and rarely missed a game. Church and faith were a large part of his life. He spent over 30 years assisting in multiple areas including being an usher for many years.
Reiny is survived by his wife, Luella Deutscher; his two daughters, Trina (Lorin) Ammon, Jamestown and Tricia (Tom) Herzig, Jamestown; his two grandsons, Luke Ammon and Kamden Herzig, both of Jamestown; one sister, Leona Deutscher, Jamestown; and one brother, LeRoy (Lin) Deutscher, Wolverton, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Marlene.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 22 at First Assembly of God Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Jeff Wiedenmeyer, officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday at Eddy Funeral Chapel with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 PM.
Burial at a later date: Highland Home Cemetery.
