Richard Gay DePuy, 79, Ah Gwah Ching, Minnesota, formerly of Jamestown, died Thursday, April 10, 2003 at the Ah Gwah Ching Center in Ah Gwah Ching, Minnesota. Gay was born February 28, 1924 in Jamestown, the son of Dr. Thomas and Dorothy (Snedecor) DePuy. He was raised in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School. He entered the U.S. Army on March 12, 1943 at Fort Snelling, MN and served his country in World War II until his discharge on April 16, 1946 at Camp McCoy, WI. During his duty he served with the European African MiddleEastern Theater. Gay lived in St. Paul, MN for quite some time, then moved to Walker, MN and later to Ah Gwah Ching where he resided for many years. Mr. DePuy never married.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dr. James DePuy and two sisters, Helen Qually and Mary Larson.
Graveside Service: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
