Richard "Dick" Van Fleet, 75, Jamestown, ND passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Richard Van Fleet was born January 16, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois. He attended the University of Minnesota on a full football scholarship. Dick left his college life to raise five children. He was a tool and die machinist at the Twin Cities Arsenal and Honeywell where he met and married his soul mate Theresa Krystofiak. The two were married August 7, 1971 and moved to Jamestown to continue his career until he took early retirement in 2005.
Dick is survived by five children; Kim (Don) Van Fleet, Scott Van Fleet, Darcee (Dennis) Kelley, Clayton Van Fleet, Jason (Allison) Skundelien; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kerry (Jock) Van Fleet, Sue (Rene) Morrissette; long time friend, Maurine Fellows and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents, John and Nina Van Fleet.
Celebration of Life: 10:00 AM, Friday, September 16 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery.
