Richard Kerber

Richard Lowell Kerber, 85, Jamestown, ND passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Vibra Hospital, Mandan, ND. Waiting for him in heaven, his father, George Kerber, mother Mabel Selbo, older sister Phyllis Schmidt and infant sister Carol.

Richard was born in Valley City, ND on April 22, 1932. He went to country grade schools and graduated from Hannaford High School. Richard’s life was spent on the family farm, raising small grains and livestock. His love for music brought many old and new friends into his life. Together Richard and Marilyn went to many musical events and made many new friends. He loved his time spent in Hannaford with old friends and musicians, “The Neighbors.”

Richard is survived by his wife Marilyn; four sons, Kully (Vanessa), Denver, CO, Todd, Minneapolis, MN, Greg (Heather), New Prague, MN, Tim (Tabby), Bismarck, ND; nephew Walt (Sharon), Fayetteville, AR; niece Carol and Kim, MN; grandchildren, Corey, Tiffany, Nickalis, Jacob, Emily, Samantha, Hailey, Abby, Benjamin, Grace; sister-in-law, Maurine Schoeler, Jamestown, ND; brother-in-law, Richard (Helen) Schoeler, Worland, WY.

The family wishes memorials to J.R. Senior Center and Jamestown Hospice.

Memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
