Richard Liberda

Richard Liberda, 85, Jamestown, N.D. died on Friday, September 6, 2002 at the Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, N.D.

Richard Liberda was born October 8, 1916 at Menno, SD, the son of Theodore and Louise (Ott) Liberda. He attended school at Goldwin Country School in Paris Township near Woodworth, N.D.

Richard married Annis Boomgarden on June 30, 1940 in Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Roosevelt township, near Montpelier, ND, where they engaged in diversified farming for two years. They moved to Paris township near Woodworth, N.D. and purchased the old Liberda farm. After Richard retired from farming, they moved to Jamestown, ND, where he worked for Haybuster and as a custodian at Jamestown High School.

Richard was township treasurer for twenty years.

Richard is survived by five children, Richard (Kay) Liberda Jr., of Lincoln, ND; Janet (Edward) Hintz, of Woodworth, ND; Anna (Rick) Hornung, of Pettibone, ND; Dan (Mary) Liberda, of Carrington, ND; Denise (Douglas) Stuckle, of Courtenay, ND; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one sister Agnes Koenig, of Jamestown, N.D. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son (Jarrett Duane Liberda), two grandchildren, eleven brothers and sisters.

Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. - Monday, September 9, 2002 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, N.D. with Rev. Doug Opp officiating.

Visitation: Sunday, September 8, 2002 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, N.D.

Burial: Gem Cemetery, Woodworth, N.D.
