Richard Lynn Petrek

Richard Lynn Petrek, 48, of Jamestown, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Sanford's Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, from head injuries he suffered in a fall.

Richard Lynn Petrek was born February 10, 1963, the son of Gary and Marit (Mikkelsen) Petrek. He attended Jamestown Schools and also attended VCSU and NDSSS. Rick was employed by Lindberg Bros., Aggregate Industries, and Duratech before his health failed. On August 17, 1995, he married Stacy Klundt. They later divorced.

Rick liked to read, music, and spending time with his much loved son.

Rick is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Stacy, and their son, Zachary, Jamestown; his parents, Gary and Marit Petrek, Jamestown; two brothers, Thomas (Kami) Petrek and their sons, Spencer and Bradyn, St. Cloud, MN and Cameron Petrek and his son Benjamin, Fargo, ND.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Eucharist of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m, Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
