Richard L Truax

Richard Truax, 87, Jamestown, ND passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at Ave Maria Village Nursing Home, Jamestown, ND.

Richard LeRoy Truax was born June 18, 1933 in Jamestown, ND to Roy and Carrie (Fiecht) Truax. He joined the US Army in 1956 and was honorably discharged in August 1958.

One October 5, 1958, Richard married Marvis Lund at Ypsilanti Lutheran Church. They made their home in Jamestown and raised three children. Daughters Ronda (Mark) Gwartney, Tania (Dan) Henning; son Tracy Truax (special friend) Jean Stancliff; two grandchildren Sierra and Nevada Tergesen. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Basil and Glenn and one sister Marilyn Hart.

Richard was owner and operator of Dick’s Auto Repair for 30 years in Jamestown.

Due to the COVID Pandemic no services will be held at this time. The family is planning a memorial service for the summer of 2021.
