Richard Wilson

Richard ""Dick"" Wilson, 73, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.

Dick was born March 7, 1931 in Coshocton, OH the son of Leo E. and Pauline (Spillman Headley) Wilson. He married Alice Nelson on April 17, 1955 in Westby, Montana. Dick started work with MDU in 1956 as a lineman in Wolfpoint, MT. They moved to Jamestown in 1970 and he continued his employment with MDU. He retired from MDU in 1990. Dick played amatuer baseball and was drafted by the the Cleveland Indians in 1950, whereupon he enlisted in the US Air Force on January 3, 1952 in Columbus, OH and served in the 29th Air Division. He received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

He liked to play golf and especially enjoyed watching baseball. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown and the Hillcrest Men's Assn where he was a past board member.

Dick is survived by his wife, Alice of Jamestown, one daughter, Tammie (Keith) Repko, St. Louis, MO; five sons, Mark Wilson, Racine, WI; Thomas Wilson, Fargo, ND; Michael Wilson, Jamestown; Larry (Diane) Wilson, Omaha, NE and Kent Wilson, Underwood, ND, six grandchildren, Kristin Wilson, Anna Repko, Megan Wilson, Katie Repko, Dakota Wilson and Carson Wilson and one sister, Patricia Hall, Zanesville, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter-in-law, Barbara June Wilson.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, October 4, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. David Eppelsheimer officiating.

Visitation: 3:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 3, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
