Ricky G Wilson, a farmer and lifelong resident of Jamestown, ND, passed away unexpectedly on February 3rd, 2021 at the age of 60, due to a farming accident.
Rick was born in Jamestown, ND on December 11th, 1960 to William (Bill – W.C.) Wilson and Ruth (Lester) Wilson. He grew up helping his father on the farm and enjoyed his time in 4H. Throughout his high school years, he was in wrestling and enjoyed time with his friends. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1979.
Rick was a proud father; his daughters were the most important part of his life. Through the years when he was not farming, he enjoyed dirt track racing, hunting, and fishing. After retiring from racing, he also spent some time serving as the President of the Racing Association, as well as serving on the Klose Elevator Board. In his later years, he enjoyed trips to discover more on the history of the Native American culture with Amy, collecting arrow heads, reading, making runs to the casino, and helping his Grandson pursue his racing career. He was also a problem solver who often took on many projects around the house and farm.
Rick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, loved ones, and those who knew him.
Rick is survived by his children: Marie (Jamison) Veil, Autumn (Andrew) Haywood, Hunter Wilson, Mia Wilson; his girlfriend, Amy Tarno; his grandchildren, Jaden Christ, Reese Christ, Oaklee Veil, Willow Veil; his sisters, Ginger (Wilson) Schlecht, and Renee Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father William (Bill-W.C.) Wilson, his mother, Ruth (Lester) Wilson, his brothers: Bill Wilson, Tom Wilson, Randy Wilson, and sister, Bonnie (Wilson) Geist.
