Robert Ganser

Robert ""Bob"" Ganser, 62, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Jamestown Hospital.

Bob was born May 21, 1945 in Jamestown, ND, the son of Frank and Elsie (Matousek) Ganser. He grew up in the Windsor/Cleveland, ND area and attended Cleveland High School. Bob married Diane Rott in January 1964. They raised three children together. On December 1, 1979 Bob married Carol Gaustad in Jamestown. They had one daughter.

Bob worked for his sister & brother-in-law, Annette and Jerry Carlson, and for various construction companies in the Jamestown area. Bob recently retired from the Jamestown Street Department.

He enjoyed driving in the country, hunting, fishing, cooking, collecting trinkets and antiques, socializing with friends and family and raiding his many friend's gardens.

Bob is survived by his wife, Carol, of Jamestown; one son, Steve (Carol) Ganser, Fargo, ND; three daughters, Vickie (Ron) Reuer, Jamestown, Sandra (Shawn) Parkinson, Fargo and Elizabeth (Nolen Peterson) Ganser, Oakes, ND; seven grandchildren, Niccole Olson (Brian Bjerke), Fargo, Alyssa Wagner, Jamestown, Alexis Ganser, Taylor Ganser, Sierra Parkinson, Cayden Ganser, all of Fargo and Hanna Reuer, Jamestown; four sisters, Betty (Vincent) Ament and Annette (Jerry) Carlson, both of Jamestown, Barbara (Allen) Huseth, Menomonee Falls, WI and Mary (Dale) Zillmer, Henning, MN; one brother, Francis (Elizabeth) Ganser, Cleveland, ND and one sister-in-law, Judy Ganser, Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John; and one sister, Dorothy Ann.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM, Monday, January 14, 2008 at the St. James Basilica with Father John McGinnis officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Rosary: 7:00 PM, Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel

Vigil: 7:30 PM, Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Sister Michaeleen.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
