Robert Heil, 79, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.
Robert was born November 20, 1926 in Jamestown, the son of Julius and Florence (Koch) Heil. He grew up in Cleveland, North Dakota and graduated from Cleveland High School. He attended Jamestown College in Jamestown where he received his teaching degree. He taught school throughout North Dakota and settled in Jamestown with his sister, Doris Heil. Robert was a Jamestown High School teacher for many years. He retired from teaching and spent his time traveling on bus trips and enjoying his family.
Robert is survived by a nephew, Julius P. (Joanne) Heil of Castle Rock, CO; a great nephew, Julius F. (Elise) Heil, six great nieces, Shannon (Jeff) Shook, Linda (Jerry, Jr.) Dosh, Mimi (Timothy) Wortman, Christina Heil, Crystal (Jeremy) Bowen and Gaea Downing; three grand nieces, Alannah Dosh, Alaina Heil and Mimi Marie Downing; seven grand nephews, Glen Dosh, Julius T. Heil, Connor and Evan Shook, Cody and Dustin Downing and Christopher Bowen; many cousins, countless friends and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Florene Heil; a step mother, Millie (Dahlen) Heil; sister, Doris Heil; an infant half brother, Maurice Heil; a half brother, Julius Heil; an infant sister, Wanda Heil; a half sister, Mildred (Heil) Zimmerman; and a niece, Dorothy Ann (Weed) Halvorson.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Rev. Gary Ball-Kilbourne officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND
Burial: Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, North Dakota.
