Robert A. Holzworth

Robert A. Holzworth, 53, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, December 3, 2007 at Jamestown Hospital after his battle with lung cancer.

Robert was born November 2, 1954 in Jamestown, the son of Edwin H. and Donna (Wahl) Holzworth. He attended school in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School in 1973. Robert married Margaret Hegg in 1974 and they later divorced in 2000. Robert worked for R.M. Stoudt from 1974-1997, first as a parts man and later becoming parts manager for many years. He then worked as a Correctional Officer for Stutsman County and at the time of his death he was employed by the James River Correctional Center,

Robert was a member of the SORT Team and the Special Deputies. He had completed Sniper Training Sessions. He enjoyed restoring and working on cars, antiquing, and he was an avid hunter at ""Bob's Rock"". Robert had a real passion for collecting and shooting firearms. Robert enjoyed Halloween and loved constructing his ""spooks.""

Robert is survived by two children, RoAnne Holzworth, Garner, IA and Ross Holzworth (fiance' Katherine Hutchings), Moorhead, MN; three brothers, Ray (Joyce) Holzworth and Ron (Annamae) Holzworth, both of Menahga, MN and Edwin E. (Mary Kay) Holzworth, Jamestown; four sisters, Valerie (Conrad) Miller, Sharon (Terry) Exner, Sue (Dan) Koropatnicki, Pamela Holzworth, all of Jamestown; a foster sister, Jan Renken, Sioux Falls, SD and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, December 7, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Leon Zavadil and Chaplain Mark Haines officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.
