Robert Walter Johnson, 58, of Jamestown, ND died Sunday, October 31, 2004 in Jamestown.

Robert was born July 28, 1946 in Valley City, ND, the son of Donald and Pearl (Youse) Johnson. He graduated from Montpelier High School, Montpelier, ND. Robert entered the US Army on September 28, 1964 in Fargo, ND and served in Germany for three years. He was discharged on September 11, 1967 at Ft. Hamilton, NY as a Sergeant. Robert attended Ellendale College, UND Branch in Ellendale, ND. He married Arlene Zimmerman on August 10, 1968 in Jamestown. They lived in Valley City where he worked as a clerk for Gamble Co. and in construction for Sorenson Construction. They moved to Jamestown and Robert managed the Kurda Mills Elevator in Spiritwood, ND. He was transferred to Aberdeen, SD where they lived for 4 years and Robert managed the Kurda Mills Elevator in Westport, SD. They returned to Jamestown where he was employed as a regional manager for Vigortone Ag Products for 23 years, and developed a great repertoire with the staff.

Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling, and horses.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Johnson of Jamestown; two daughters, Shannan (Tim) Stinar of Jamestown, and Stephanie (Brian) Zimprich of Fargo, ND; and one sister, Patty Russell (Jerry Sturdevent) of Janesville, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 1:30PM, Thursday, November 4, 2004 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown with Rev. David Thompson officiating.

Visitation: Wednesday, November 3, 2004 from 9:00AM to 8:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:00PM, Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
