Robert Kelsey

Robert Kelsey, 68, Wimbledon, North Dakota, died Saturday, December 30, 2006, in his home, with his loving wife by his side.

Robert was born on January 29, 1938 in Faribault, Minnesota, where he grew up and attended school.

Robert joined the Airforce in 1955 until 1958. He married Joyce Ellen Sutton on January 24, 1962 in Faribault. They moved to Brooklyn Center, MN in 1964 where they raised their family. He worked as a cement finisher of local 557 in Minneapolis, MN from 1964 to 1974. He returned to school in 1975 to learn the trade of orthotics and moved his family to Horace, ND in 1979. He worked at Healthcare Accessories in Fargo, ND from 1979 to 1999 when he then transferred to Healthcare Accessories in Jamestown in 1999 until his retirement in 2003 due to illness. Robert and his wife moved to Wimbledon in 2000.

Robert enjoyed his life relaxing at Spiritwood Lake with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and especially spending time gardening with his wife.

Robert is survived by his wife, Joyce, Wimbledon; one son, John (Shirley) Kelsey, Glendale, AZ; two daughters, Margaret (OJ) Hansen, Deland, FL and Brenda (Tim) Hoover, West Fargo, ND; four grandchildren, Justin Hansen, Orange City, FL, Candice Kelsey, Bismarck, ND, Heather Kelsey, West Fargo, ND and Stephanie Hoover, West Fargo, ND; two great-grandchildren, Trevor Hansen, Orange City, FL and Shane Akin, Glendale, AZ; three brothers, Walter (Viola) Kelsey, Faribault, MN, Vern (Janet) Kelsey, St. Paul, MN and George Kelsey, Millacs Lake, MN; two sisters, Gertrude Brandt and Agatha Kelsey, both of Faribault, MN and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Sarah (Barnette) Kelsey; four brothers, Ray, Roy, Allen and Clarence and one sister, Leatrice (Kelsey) Pike.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 4, 2007 at St. John's Methodist Church, Wimbledon, ND.
