Robert A. Schlager, 58, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at his home.
Robert Allen Schlager was born June 4, 1951 in Jamestown, the son of Edward and Evelyn (Madson) Schlager. He grew up in Jamestown and attended Jamestown High School. He enlisted in the US Army Mobile Artillery in 1969, and was honorably discharged in 1971. After the Army, Robert worked construction in Minot and Jamestown. Robert at one time was married to Mary Folk.
Robert's life enjoyments were hunting, fishing, and motorcycle rides with his dad, sons and brothers.
Robert is survived by two sons, Todd (Lisa) Wibstad, Jamestown and Cody Vedvig, Prescott Valley, AZ; mother, Evelyn Schlager, Jamestown; three grandchildren; four brothers, Marlin (Deaon) Schlager and George (Carol) Schlager, both of Tucson, AZ, Keith Schlager and Terry (Char) Schlager, both of Jamestown; three sisters, Cindy (Doug) Wold, St. Cloud, FL, Roxanne (Kim) Hurley and Tammie Oberlander (Brent Stein), both of Jamestown; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Schlager.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
Visitation: 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial at a later date: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, North Dakota.
