Robert ""Bob"" Leonard Stelter, 74, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Jamestown Hosptial.
Mr. Stelter was born March 2, 1936 in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Edward and Elsie (Charboneau) Stelter. He spent his youth farming in Wisconsin and then moved to Devils Lake, ND with his family. He then lived in Fargo where he attended vocational school. He moved to Jamestown and married Bernice Sigurdson on July 9, 1965. They managed the Parkway Motel until 1980. Then they managed the South Hill Car & Truck Wash, until their retirement.
Bob is survived by his loving family and friends; wife, Bernice, Jamestown; one son, Robert (Maria) Stelter, Jr.; two daughters, Joanne (Tricia) Stelter, St. Louis Park, MN and Gail (Jeff) Steckman, Grand Forks, ND; three grandchildren, Justice, Aaron and Madison; three sisters, Josie (Duane) Lokken, Dane, WI, Shirley (Shorty) Young, Phoenix, AZ, and Nancy (Louis) Luty, West Allis, WI; two brothers, Edward (Joyce) Stelter, Jr., Hopewell, VA and Kim Kirchoffner, Redmond, WA; brother-in-law, Ray (Colleen) Sigurdson, Jamestown; an aunt, Edna Gilbraith, Redmond, WA ; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister; one uncle and two aunts.
