Robert Syverson, 66, Jamestown, ND died in his home on Sunday, June 23, 2013.
Robert Dean Syverson was born June 8, 1947 to Harry and Inez (Crawford) Syverson in Courtenay, ND where he attended school. He worked for several area farmers growing up. Later on he worked for Dodgson Furniture in Jamestown. He then joined the Army National Guard 141st Combat Engineers. In 1980 he married Ella Geisler and raised 3 sons, 1 daughter and 1 stepson. In 1996 he became groundskeeper for Camp Davis in Valley City. He worked there until 2012. In 2003-2005 he served his country in Iraq. In 2007 he retired from the National Guard after 27 years of service.
Robert is survived by his wife, Ella, Jamestown; three sons, Shawn (Kim), Paul and Thomas, all of Jamestown, stepson, Edward (LouAnn) Pergotski, Jamestown; 15 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Larry Syverson, Valley City and Dean Syverson, Sanborn, ND; and four sisters, Bonnie (Neil) Spitzer, Spiritwood, ND, Joyce Brewer, Valley City, Cleone Genre, Jamestown and Vivian (Jerry) Johnson, West Fargo, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother and one daughter.
