Roberta Wahl

June 1, 1932 — October 16, 2011

Roberta ?Polly? Wahl, 79, went to be with the Lord Jesus, October 16, 2011 as a result of heart failure.

Polly was born June 1, 1932 in Cleveland, ND to John and Anna (Schmitt) Otto and was the youngest of 12 children. She graduated from Cleveland High School. On October 14, 1950 she wed Arnold Wahl. They spent their 61 years of married life in Jamestown.

Polly will be remembered for the two prominent positions she held in life: loving wife and mother. She was unconditional in her love and service to her husband, family and friends. Her house was often full of family and she was overjoyed when her sons and their families were around. She was an active member of the Free Methodist Church, an excellent cook, accomplished bowler, and the most sought after pinochle partner in the family. She found great joy in watching her sons and grandchildren in their athletic and music activities.

Polly is survived by her husband Arnold, Jamestown; six sons: Craig (Ann Brantley) Edina, MN, Steve (Mary Pat Leines) Jamestown, Doug (Wanda Hoffman) Jamestown, Warren (Christine Schumacher) Jamestown, Ted (Corinna Brancio) Shoreview, MN, and Kory (Cristy Lees) Bismarck, ND; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Wahl Saxon, Surprise, AZ; and two sisters Bernice Miller, Bismarck, ND and Tillie Seher, Vancouver, WA. She was a wonderful loving grandmother of fifteen and great-grandmother of six. Polly had 65 nephews and nieces and is remembered intimately by each and every one of them.

She was preceded in death by son, Wade; nine brothers and sisters; her parents; and a daughter-in-law Sheila Lang (Craig).
