Robin D. Dunwoody, 39, Schofield, Wisconsin, died Saturday morning, January 3, 2009 in Wausau, WI.
Robin Wibstad was born January 18, 1969 in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Alan and Yvonne (Schildberger) Wibstad. She grew up in Montpelier, ND and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1987. She married Jason Dunwoody and had two sons while living in Lisbon, ND. They later divorced. She enjoyed working as a nurse for many years at a Lisbon nursing home. Eventually, the family moved to Wausau, WI, where she worked as a nurse at Wausau Manor. The people of Wausau Manor described Ms. Dunwoody as kind, caring and compassionate.
Ms. Dunwoody also enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts and spending time with her two sons--the joys of her life. She will be remembered by her family as loving, generous and a kind person to everyone that touched her life.
Robin is survived by her two sons, Trevor and Gage Dunwoody, Wausau, WI; father, Alan (Elizabeth) Wibstad, Montpelier, ND; mother, Yvonne Wibstad, Jamestown; one sister, Tina Wibstad, Portland, OR; two brothers, Bruce Baseflug, Sacramento, CA and Tyler Wibstad, Jamestown; a step-sister, Amy Ruff, Bismarck, ND; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown with Father John McGinnis officiating.
