Rodney Speidel

Rodney Speidel, 70, of Eldridge, ND passed away peacefully Sunday November 12, 2017 in Fargo, ND surrounded by family.

Rodney was born May 24th, 1947 in Jamestown, ND, son of Emanuel and Bertha (Lippert) Speidel. He received his education in Jamestown, ND. He started working for the railroad in 1965. He continued to work for BNSF until retirement. He married Marlene Kamlitz on May 15th, 1971 in Jamestown, ND. They moved from Jamestown, ND to Eldridge, ND in 1972. He enjoyed working on cars, playing cards, dancing, McDonald’s, and drinking coffee with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rodney is survived by his wife Marlene, daughter Dawn Speidel (Jamie Kramlich), Courtenay, ND, son Todd Speidel, Eldridge, ND, granddaughter Kayla Koenig (Dylan Kleinjan), their children, Easton and Blayklee, Jamestown, ND, grandson Logan Koenig, Courtenay, ND, Sister-in-law Dorothy Speidel, Jamestown, ND, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Elmer.

Funeral service: 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Joel Winckler, officiating.

Visitation: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday, November 17 at Eddy Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens
