Roger Carl Meikle, 60, passed away peacefully at his home in Wimbledon, ND on August 6th, 2016.
Roger was born in Valley City, ND on November 25th, 1955 to David and Bernice (Trangsrud) Meikle. He graduated from Wimbledon High School in 1974. Roger married Leona Hoy July 7, 1979 and they had three sons, Grant, Reece, and Payne. He raised his family in Woodbury, MN and in 2008 Roger returned to Wimbledon where he was employed at Fehr Electric. Roger was a hard worker and dedicated employee. He worked 16 years at Ecowater and 8 years at Fehr Electric. Roger was a gear head and passed that passion down to Grant and Payne. After returning to Wimbledon he spent countless hours with his brothers, Bruce and Jack, fixing, restoring, and racing cars.
Roger's sons, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews were the most important things in Roger's life. At any family gathering he would have his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews hanging on his arms or legs and he loved it.
Roger is survived by two sons Grant (Lynne), Hope Mills, NC and Payne (Megan), Woodbury, MN; three grandchildren Dominic and Kennedy, Hope Mills, and Hailey, Woodbury; two brothers, Bruce (Margaret), Wimbledon, Jack (Gloria), Jamestown; one sister, Barbara Frazier, Kosse, TX and half-brother, Rodger Lee, Half Moon Bay, CA. Roger was preceded in death by his beloved son Reece, parents, and nephew Terry Meikle.
Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 11 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Kristi Weber, officiating.
Visitation: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 10 at Eddy Funeral Chapel with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 PM.
