Ronald Anthony, 72, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at his home.

Ronald ""Ron"" was born November 21, 1936 in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, the son of William and Virginia A. (Ewing) Deemer. Ron enlisted in the US Air Force. On September 3, 1977 he married Janet Kloss in Forsythe, Montana. Ron worked as a brakeman for Burlington Northern Railroad, from where he retired. During his retirement he drove school bus for Dietrich Bus Service from 2000-2006, and for eight years he was the groundskeeper for the Stutsman County Fair.

Ron was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown and the American Legion. He enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with family.

Ron is survived by his wife, Janet, Jamestown; four sons, Michael Anthony, Champlain, MN, Timothy Staul, Oak Harbor, WA, Chad Staul, Elk River, MN and Eric Staul, Fargo, ND; one daughter, Lori (Sonny) Emmet, Gainesville, GA; six grandchildren, Melissa, Rachel, Richard, Hannah, Niya and Aliya; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Gabriel; special nephew, William Whitecotton; and special niece, Rhonda (Steen) Sorenson and her children, Michael and Christopher.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Gary Ball-Kilbourne officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
