Ronald Parfit

Ronald Parfit, 74, of Bowman, ND, was born August 21, 1947, the son of Harry and Loretta Parfit in Jamestown, ND.  He attended grade school in a rural one-room school house near his parents’ farm at Ypsilanti and graduated from the Montpelier High School in 1965.  He then attended Valley City State University earning his teaching degree in mathematics.  Ron taught high school math at Oakes, Glenburn, Tolna and Scranton, ND and college classes at Minot State University and Moorhead State University for a short time.

Ron married Kaye Anderson and two children were born of this union, Blair and Nicole.

He died Sunday, November 21, 2021 in Bowman, ND and is survived by his son, Blair, Valley City; daughter, Nicole Wood and grandsons, Zach and Ben Wood of Boise, ID; sister, Marlyn Domek, Ypsilanti; brothers, Gary (Janice) Parfit, Star, ID and Kenneth (Carolyne) Parfit, Larkspur, CO; and several cousins.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Loretta Parfit.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, with Pastor Steve Berntson officiating.  This service will be Livestream on this webpage.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
