Rose A. Meier

Rose A. Meier, 93, Carrington, North Dakota died Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, North Dakota.

Rose Ann Schaack was born March 11, 1912 at Sykeson, ND the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Weber) Schaack. She attended St. Catherine School in Sykeston. Rose married David D. Meier on November 16, 1931 in Fessenden, ND. They lived in the Sykeson and Bordulac, ND areas before moving to Grace City, ND where they farmed for many years.

Rose enjoyed gardening and embroidery.

Rose is survived by two sons, William ""Bill"" (Ardyce) Meier, Mesa, Az and John (Dee) Meier, Apache Junction, AZ, one daughter, Mary (Royce) Topp, Grace City, one step-daughter, Doris Hoffmann, Hutchinson, MN, 17 grandchildren, a large number of great and great-great grandchildren, one sister, Catherine Steinwand, Carrington and one brother, William (Bud) Schaack, Devils Lake, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers, Vincent, Walter and Francis and three sisters, Dorothy Aljets, Margaret Bauer and Valeria Wren.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, April 18, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church, Grace City, ND with Rev. Ray Branstiter officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, April 17, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Grace City Cemetery, Grace City, North Dakota.
