Rose Kay Schweitzer, 92, Jamestown, ND died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown. Rose was born February 24, 1922 near Gackle, ND the daughter of John and Othilda (Domdie) Presler. She received her early education in Logan County schools. She married Robert Schweitzer, December 29, 1941 in Gackle, ND. They moved to Montpelier where they farmed from 1942 to 1953. They moved to Jamestown in 1953, where she worked at White Drug as a cashier. Her hobbies were watching television and card playing. Her favorite quote is "Mountain Dew I Love You". She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, Jamestown.
She is survived by three sons, LueAllan (Butch), Alrington, WA, Jerome and Lonnie, both Jamestown, two daughters, June Nelson, Lolo, MT, and Tammy Wilke, Jamestown. Eleven grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren. Three brothers, Richard Presler, Oakes, ND, Leroy Presler, Gackle, ND, Walter Presler, Jamestown. Four sisters, Alvina Heidinger, Edgeley, ND, Gertie Kassman, OR, Delores Moser, Fargo, ND, Cora Moos, Jamestown, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, ten brothers and sisters, Son in law, Gordon Nelson, two grandchildren, Jay Schweitzer and Derek Wilke.
Memorial Service; 12:00 PM, Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown with Deacon Tom Geffre, officiating.
No Visitation is scheduled.
Burial; Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
