Rose Scott

Rose Scott, 101, Ellendale, ND, formerly of Merricourt, ND, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Prince Of Peace Care Center, Ellendale, ND.
Rose Pop was born April 10, 1905 at Prague, NE, the daughter of James and Antonia (Brecka) Pop. She began school in Prague, NE and then moved with her parents to the Merricourt, ND area in 1920, where she continued school while living on the farm. On March 12, 1927, she married Walter E. Scott at Aberdeen, SD and they settled on a farm near Merricourt, ND. Walter died on February 5, 1977. Rose continued to live on the farm until entering Prince Of Peace Care Center, Ellendale, ND in June of 1999.
Rose was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND, a Homemakers' Club and a Birthday Club. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, crocheting, knitting and cooking.
Survivors include 5 sons; Arnold (Lorine) Scott, Hettinger, ND; Milton Scott, Merricourt, ND; Clinton (LaVern) Scott, Jamestown, ND; Clifford (Arlene) Scott, Bismarck, ND; Lyle (Joyce) Scott, Dickinson, ND; a daughter-in-law, Delores Scott, Forsythe, MT; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, Orvan, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral - 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND.
Visitation - 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
