Rosemary Statema

Rosemary Statema, 63, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Central Dakota Village Nursing Home, Jamestown, North Dakota.

Rosemary Wenda was born June 1, 1944, in Linton, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Schneider) Wenda. She attended Linton High School and was a waitress in Linton for a few years. Rosemary met John Statema in 1963 and they were married on August 29, 1966 in Linton. They made their home in Foster County, North Dakota where her husband was the Sheriff for many years. They were members of the Foster County Ambulance service. Rosemary enjoyed visiting friends and playing cards.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, John Statema, Jamestown; two sons, John Charles Statema, Valley City, ND and Paul Anthony Statema, Jamestown, ND; two grandchildren, Jazaline and Jett; one brother, Joseph (Ruth) Wenda, Lodi, CA; two sisters, Dorothy Fueher, Strasburg, ND and Lintina Bonimica, Las Vegas, NV.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Angie, Pauline, and Teresa; and one brother, Eugene.

Funeral Service: 1:00PM, Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Father John McGinnis officiating.

Visitation: 1:00PM - 5:00PM, Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
