Rosie Grosz

Rosie Grosz, 92, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, July 6, 2009 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown.

Rosie Goehring was born June 12, 1917 to Henry and Fredericka (Hoffman) Goehring. She attended Rosendahl Country School. On April 15, 1935 Rosie married Martin Grosz in Fredonia, ND. They farmed in the Fredonia area until 1978, when they moved to Jamestown. During their retirement, they enjoyed traveling south for many years. Martin died on July 17, 1985. Rosie enjoyed gardening.

Rosie is survived by her daughter, Carol McCoy; two grandchildren, Neal (Colleen) McCoy and Carmen (Al, Jr.) Bender, four great-grandchildren, Nicholas & Erica McCoy and Caitlyn & Joshua Bender, all of Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one sister and brother-in-law, Maggie & August Durr; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed (Neola) Goehring, Aaron (Eleanora) Goehring and Ephrim (Stella) Goehring; and one son-in-law, Noel McCoy.

Funeral Service: 1:30 PM, Thursday, July 9, 2009 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown, with Rev. Gary Ball-Kilbourne officiating.

Visitation: 12:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
