Roy Wahl, 79, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, September 18, 2003 in his home. Roy was born March 24, 1924 in McClusky, ND the son of Jacob and Ida (Hieb) Wahl. He grew up and attended school in the McClusky area. Roy served in the US Army during WW II. On October 7, 1950 Roy married Donna Kahl in Jamestown, ND. Later he moved to Fargo, ND where he was employed by Farmers Union (currently Cenex). Roy drove trucks for over 40 years, retiring in March of 1986.
Roy is survived by his seven children: Kathleen Otte, Moorhead, MN; Brandon Wahl, Hawley, MN; David Wahl, Moorhead, MN; Deborah (Stephen) Ekre, Hawley, MN; Richard Wahl, Jamestown, ND; Gregory (Kim) Wahl, Moorhead, MN and Michelle Wahl, Jamestown, ND, four brothers, Arnold (Polly) Wahl, Jamestown, ND; Lelend (Eleanor) Wahl, Montana; Jack (Carol) Wahl, Montana and Melvin Wahl, Montana, three sisters, Evelyn (LeRoy) Kendall, Texas; Elaine (Don) Henjum, Oakes, ND and Elda Swanson, Jamestown, ND, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother and three sisters, Elsie McCarthy, Francis Greene and Donna Holzworth.
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Visitation: 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Monday, September 22, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
