Roy Wentz

Roy Wentz, 83, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Roy Wentz was born July 12, 1925 in Goodrich, ND, the son of George and Katherine (Martin) Wentz. He began working for the Northern Pacific Railway at an early age in 1942. Roy married Jeanne Grinuk Naze on July 22, 1967 in Jamestown. He retired as a B&B Foreman after 41 years of service in 1983.

Roy loved to hunt, fish, and train hunting dogs. Neighbor children enjoyed his company. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, and the V.F.W.

Roy is survived by his son, Mike Wentz, Jamestown; one step-son, Randy (Cheryl) Naze, Minot, ND; one step-daughter, Terri (Chris) Naze, Jamestown; three grandchildren, Angie (fiancé, Jim Englund) Donegan, Jamestown, Doug Naze, Minot and Abbie Naze, Minot; and one great grandson, Levi Donegan, Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Kathleen; one sister, Elsie; and five brothers, Art, Alfred, Eddie, Tige, and Harold.

Memorial Service: 2:00PM, Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Harlen Kaden officiating.

No visitation.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
