Ruby Bartle

Ruby Bartle, 81, Jamestown, ND, died at Ave Maria Village on February 3, 2009.

Ruby Ruth Bartle was born on September 9, 1927 on the family farm near Edgeley, ND the daughter of Benjamin and Ella (Hird) Bartle. She graduated from Edgeley High School and attended Ellendale Bible College for one year. She worked for JC Penny Co. in Jamestown and then for Bell Telephone in Jamestown. Ruby moved to Bismarck and worked for Bell/Qwest until she retired. Following her retirement she volunteered at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck. She returned to Jamestown in 2006 and became a resident at Ave Maria Village.

Survivors include 3 brothers, Arthur (Adeline), Billings, Montana, Fred (Gertrude), Jamestown, ND, and Vernon (Faye), Edgeley, ND. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Mildred Heinrich and June Aune and 4 brothers, Bill, Donald, Marvin and Wendell.

Ruby was a special aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She treasured their visits and calls and loved to share their pictures. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
