Ruby Christ Conitz, 88, Jamestown, North Dakota died Friday, January 16, 2004, at her home in Jamestown. Ruby was born in Newark, South Dakota on October 27, 1915, the daughter of Eber & Ida (Layton) Titsworth. She moved to Jamestown with her mother and siblings, attending and graduating from Jamestown High School in 1933. She graduated from Valley City State Teachers College, teaching in country schools, Nortonville, and later Ypsilanti, ND, retiring in 1977. She married Wallace F. Christ August 19, 1939, in Jamestown. He died Feb. 18, 1977. She married Robert A. Conitz, July 5, 1980 in Jamestown, ND. Following Robert's death, in December of 2000, Ruby was cared for by her granddaughter, Jodi Bunde. She enjoyed doing crosswords puzzles, playing games and cards, going for scenic drives, Maple Nut ice cream, and drinking Coca-Cola.

She was a member of the First Congregational U.C.C., Jamestown, also of the Roaming Buffalos Camping Club, Retired Teachers Assn., Eastern Star, Elkettes, Bridge Club, Sewing Club, Birthday Club, and Mother's Club, Circle One, and Womens Fellowship.

Ruby is survived by one daughter, Virginia Evans, Mesa, AZ, one son, James D. Christ, Jamestown, eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, one sister, Virginia Thompson, Union City, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son, (Charles), one brother, (Merl) and one great grandson.

Funeral Service: 1:30 PM, Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at First Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Terri Akkerman officiating.

Visistation: 1:00 PM to 9:00PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:00PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND
