Ruby Reimers

Ruby Reimers, 84, Jamestown, ND passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Ruby Schweigert was born May 9, 1936 on a farm near Gackle, ND to Emil and Lea Schweigert. On June 24, 1954 Ruby married William Reimers.

Ruby enjoyed being a farm wife. She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She enjoyed embroidery and gardening. In past years she looked forward to NDSU Bison football and Little League Softball.

She is survived by her children Mark (Ronda) Reimers, Valley City, ND, Jody Benshoof, Fargo, ND, Robert Reimers, Mandan, ND, Roberta Reimers, Jamestown, ND, Lori Reimers, Valley City, ND, Audrey Reimers, Jamestown, ND and Byron Reimers, Grafton, ND; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother Calvin Schweigert, Fergus Falls, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, daughter Gwen, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 15 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wimbledon, ND with Pastor Robert Hill officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank Ruby’s caregivers, Dr.’s and nurses at Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Edgewood Assisted Living, Eventide and Ave Maria Village for taking such good care of Ruby these past months.
