Ruby Rolfson

Ruby O. Rolfson, 95, of Jamestown, ND, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 7, 2020 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, North Dakota.

Ruby was born May 25, 1924, in Windsor, ND, the daughter of Engebret and Hilda Lund Rolfson. She was educated in Stutsman County schools and graduated from Eveleth High School, Eveleth, MN. Ruby worked in sales at Sears-Roebuck and as the ladies’ clothing manager at K-Mart in Jamestown. She was a member of the V.F.W. Women Auxiliary and Trinity Lutheran Church.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Stephen) Overman and Patrice (Donnie) Simpson; grandchildren, Bryan (Patrece) Simpson, Jana (Kyle) Long, Christopher Overman, and Dr. Kelly Overman (Judd Herbster); great-grandchildren, Luke and Samuel Long and Tyler and Blake Herbster; brothers, Allen (Shirley) Rolfson, LaVern Rolfson; sister, LaVonne Cornfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Penny; sisters, Ilean Wade, Erma (Lloyd) Sodawasser; and brothers, Vernon (Beverly) Rolfson and Harlen Rolfson.

Memorial Service: To be announced in the spring of 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown ND. Memorial contributions in memory of Ruby may be made to Rock of Ages Retirement Home at 1315 4th Street NE, Jamestown, ND 58401

Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
