Rudolph Remmick

Rudolph Remmick, 87, Robinson, North Dakota, died Monday, July 14, 2003 at the Golden Manor Nursing Home in Steele, North Dakota. Rudoph was born February 22, 1916 in Gackle, North Dakota the son of Jacob and Anna (Kassman) Remmick. He attended country schools and later worked with the Civil Conservation Corps (CCC). He married Alma Schumacher on June 29, 1939 in Steele. They lived on a farm north of Robinson. Alma died June 16, 1996. .

Rudolph enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always enjoyed having a good garden, watching his geese and ducks walk around the yard, picking chokecherries, playing cards and driving his team of horses.

Rudolph is survived by one son, Marvin (Nadine) Remmick, Robinson; two daughters, Mary Ann Dehne, Robinson and Elsie (LaVerne) Wolff, Chaseley; 13 grandchildren, Charlene Schulz, Wanda Plienes, Cherrie Remmick, Gail Britton, Darwin Remmick, Dalon Dehne, Shelly Hochhalter, Laurie Hagelie, Darrin Dehne, Sheila Rohrich, Leon Wolff, Lonnie Wolff and Travis Wolff; 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Amelia Gruebele, Jamestown, a special family member, Blaine (Carla) Schaible and their children, Ronda, David and Shanna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son David in infancy, 4 brothers; Ted, Art, Albert and Clifford, 5 sisters; Mathilda, Johanna, Lydia, Julia and Martha and a son-in-law, Dale Dehne.

Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 17, 2003 at the United Methodist Church in Robinson, North Dakota with Rev. Perry Schnabel officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Frettim Township Cemetery, Northeast of Robinson, North Dakota.
