Ruth Johnson, 76, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, January 5, 2015 at Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown, ND. Ruth Haakenson was born August 21, 1938 in McHenry, North Dakota to Henry and Margaret (Maisel) Haakenson. Ruth attended school in Jamestown. She married Dallas Johnson. Ruth was self employed cleaning homes. She enjoyed cooking, canning, playing cards and going to rummage sales. She is survived by seven children; Ruth Ann (Wayne Howard) Yonts, Lanesboro, MN, Ralph Johnson, West Fargo, ND, Robert Johnson, Pingree, ND, Steve (Kathleen) Johnson, Merrimack, NH, Doug (Cari) Johnson, Becky (Jerry Krenzel) Benson, Jamestown, ND, David Johnson, Jamestown, ND; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Marjean Oien, Evelyn Wagner, Elaine Pillatzke, Dolly Dockter, Dorothy Bonnet; three brothers, Leroy Haakenson, John Haakenson and Dennis Haakenson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, two brothers, one daughter and one grandchild.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Michelle Brennan, officiating.
