Ruth Little

Ruth Little, 99, Edgeley, ND, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Manor St. Joseph, Edgeley, ND.
Ruth Myrtle Zimmerman was born May 11, 1907 at Peshtigo, WI, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Holtz) Zimmerman. She attended 1st through 3rd grades at Duluth, MN; 4th through 8th grades at Medberry, ND and graduated from Edgeley High School, Edgeley, ND in May of 1926. After graduating, she attended Ellendale Normal College and received her teaching certificate, also in 1926. Ruth taught school in the Kulm and Baldwin, ND areas for 12 years. On October 28, 1938, she married Lawrence W. Little at Aberdeen, SD. They lived in the Baldwin, ND area from 1938 to 1943 and then moved to the farm near Medberry, ND where Ruth grew up. They farmed until retiring in 1975 when they moved into Edgeley. Ruth continued to live in her home until March of 2005 when she became a resident of St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND at the age of 98. In November of that same year, she moved to Manor St. Joseph in Edgeley, ND.
Ruth was a lifelong member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Edgeley, ND where she also taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Women's Society.
Survivors include her son, Wayne (Terri) Little, Sheldon, ND; 2 grandchildren: Joseph (Keathann) Little, Page, ND and Danielle Little, Fargo, ND; a step-granddaughter, Beth Schwanke, Fargo, ND; 3 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; a sister, Viola (Zimmerman) Jackson; nephew, Erval D. Jackson and 1 great great grandson, Cody Little.
Funeral - 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND with Reverend Dale Emery officiating.
Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND
Visitation - 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
