Ruth Reinhardt

Ruth Reinhardt, 76, Jamestown, ND, died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Jamestown Hospital.
Ruth Naomi Grinde was born October 17, 1929 at the hospital in Mayville, ND, the daughter of John R. and Selma (Koppang) Grinde. She was raised on the family farm near Portland, ND and attended the rural elementary school and Mayville High School, graduating in 1947. After graduating, she attended Mayville State College and later a beauty school in Fargo, ND, where she worked as a hairdresser after completing school. On May 10, 1957, she married Walter Reinhardt at Fort Benning, GA, where Walter was serving in the United States Army. Following Walter's discharge, they returned to Portland, ND where they operated a beauty and barbershop. They later moved to Jamestown, ND, where Ruth operated a beauty shop in her home and worked as a cook at the Farmer's Union Office for many years, retiring in 1992.
Ruth enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and baking all of which she shared generously with her children, extended family and many friends. She and Walter had been members of the Trinity Couples Club and members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown.
Survivors include a son, Steven, Jamestown, ND and a brother, Levon (Jean) Grinde, Kindred, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Mark.
