Sadie Schock, 100, Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, ND.
Sadie Gross was born May 4, 1910 on the family farm north of Cleveland, ND, the daughter of John and Lydia (Wahl) Gross. She was raised and attended school in Cleveland and then worked on the family farm. On April 30, 1932, she married Christ Schock at Cleveland, ND. They farmed near Medina, ND until 1937 when they moved to a farm near Carrington, ND. They farmed in Carrington until 1944 when they moved to a farm near Spiritwood Lake, ND. In 1983, they retired and moved to Jamestown, ND. Christ died on July 11, 1995.
Sadie was a member of First Baptist Church and the local Homemaker's Club. She was well known for her delicious caramel rolls.
Survivors include 3 children: Vernon Schock, Jamestown, ND; John (Terry) Schock, Jamestown, ND; Jane Schock, San Diego, CA; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Harrington, Minnetonka, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 5 brothers; 3 sisters; 2 sons: Bob and Neil and 2 grandchildren: Lisa and Kent.
Funeral - 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Jamestown, ND
Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND
Visitation - 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Saturday
Interment - Sunset Memorial Garden, Jamestown, ND
