Seth R. Linstaedt

April 1, 1983 — July 20, 2019

Our son, brother, “Muncle”, “stuffy”, grandson, daddy, and all around good friend, Seth Raymond Linstaedt, fell gently to sleep for the last time 20 July 2019. Although his life was short, it was full of adventures that most people never have an opportunity to live.

He entered this world the same way he lived his life - fast, stubborn, large, and extremely late. As an April Fools’ Day baby (1983), most family thought that his arrival was a joke. Little did they know that those thoughts must have entered into that baby brain for he spent the next 36 years refining his wit for cerebral battles and his ability to pull off obnoxious pranks much to his mother’s chagrin (seriously, the cliche bucket of water over the door??). Always a tinkerer and an “I can make it work better”-guy, he would regularly surprise his mother and sisters with a torn apart TV (that worked fine the prior evening) or stereo. As he grew up, this ability to take things apart and put them back together, helped him in his multitude of hobbies and careers. How many other uncles would build his niece’s first computer from scratch? His ability to take apart and rebuild most anything was only surpassed by his ability to flirt with the ladies - - all ladies. He knew how to make a girl feel good about herself.

Seth loved driving his motorcycles and snowmobiles fast, building his business (HAMMO Services LLC), camping, fishing, taking the boat out on the lake, getting lost with his cousin in the boundary waters, woman, and beer - - most definitely not in that order. What he loved most though was his family. He was the first one to offer to help if anyone needed it. Regularly he would help his sister HeidiJo fix her lemon car. He loved his children - those of his blood and those of his heart. He would do anything for his kids.

Seth is survived by his blood and heart children Makayla, Julianna, Lotus, Tala, Justin, and those who sent the anonymous fathers’ day cards. He is also survived by his mother, Julia (Robin) Sletto, father Keith (Margaret) Linstaedt, siblings Rebecca (Bob) Fiss, Heather (Bryan) Rogers, HeidiJo Hone and her partner Dameon, and Josh (Kelsey) Seigler, Grandparents Edwin and Melvina Toews and Shirley Linstaedt. He also leaves behind nieces Madeleine, Hannah, India, and Samantha, his favorite nephew Zacharais, and too many uncles, aunts, and cousins to list - but you know who you are. Those friends, multitude of ex-girlfriends (some of whom he may claim), and extended family made up of blood and heart will all miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Linstaedt, Uncle, Roy Linstaedt, and close friend and cousin, Sarah Toews.

Seth - we will love you forever. Until we meet you again . . .

A private funeral service was held in Jamestown.
