Shannon Ganae Blinsky-Snyder

Shannon G. Blinsky-Snyder, 34, died Saturday, October 7, 2006 at her residence in Joliet, Illinois.

Shannon Blinksy was born March 27, 1972 in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of H. Ellis and JoAnn (Martin) Blinsky. She attended school in Branson, MO, Brousard, LA and Reeds Spring, MO. Shannon graduated from Westerville South High School, Westerville, Ohio, class of 1990. She was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top twenty of her class. She was active in band, playing the flute, clarinet and piano and participating with the flag corp. Shannon was a member of the FFA rifle team in Brousard, LA, finishing 2nd in the Louisiana State Competition in 1985. She attended Ohio State University, Columbus State University and Joliet Junior College. Shannon competed with the Equestrian Team at Columbus State and specialized in Dressage Riding.

Shannon was an avid reader and enjoyed cross stitching and quilting.

Shannon is survived by her husband, David J. Snyder of Joliet, IL; her parents, H. Ellis and JoAnn (Martin) Blinsky, Georgetown, KY; two brothers, Jared J. (Michelle McMillen) Blinsky, Johnstown, OH and Jace D. Blinsky, Georgetown, KY; father and mother-in-law, John R. and Millie L. Snyder, Lima, OH; aunts and uncles, Darrell (LouAnn) Martin, James (Jan) Martin, Wayne Martin, Marvin Martin, Karen (Cletus) Lipetzky, Sharon (Bruce) Shockley, Janice Blinsky, Floyd (Pam) Blinsky, Cheryl (Rod) Doepke and Joan Blinsky.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Orden and Lydia (Martin) Stamness; paternal grandparents, Harold J. and Kathleen Blinsky; an aunt, Jackie Martin; an uncle, Duane A. Blinsky and a cousin, Travis Martin.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 14, 2006 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wimbledon, ND with Rev. Robert Hill officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

Burial: Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, North Dakota.
