Sharon Kankelfritz, 63, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown.
Sharon Sollin was born January 11, 1945 in Rugby, ND, the daughter of Olaf and Alma (Jelsing) Sollin. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended schools at Rush Lake and Wolford. She married Raymond Schmaltz on June 24, 1967 at Little Flower Church in Rugby. After their marriage they lived on a farm northwest of Balta where they were engaged in farming. They divorced in 1984 and Sharon and her sons moved to the state of Michigan. She married Louis Kankelfritz in 1994 and they later divorced.
Sharon is survived by her two sons, Richard Daniel and Archibald John, Michigan; three sisters, Naomi (Joe) Fritel, Rugby, Colleen (Raymond) Mason, Ellsworth, MI, Norma Juntunen, Grand Forks, ND; four brothers, Richard (Linda) Sollin, Balta, ND, Rolland (Lori Jo) Sollin, Rolla, ND, Elton (Peggy) Sollin, Spanaway, WA and Errol Sollin, Grand Forks, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew; and a niece.
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2008 at the First Lutheran Church. Rugby, North Dakota with Pastor Mike Pretzer officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND.
Burial: Priscilla Watts Cemetery, Rugby, North Dakota.
