Shirley Fletcher, 88, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown. Shirley Leick was born November 28, 1925 in Wimbledon, North Dakota to Peter and Florence (Dingfelder) Leick. She graduated from Wimbledon High School. She married William Fletcher on November 4, 1944 in Wimbledon. They farmed in Courtenay, ND. Shirley and William also lived in Gackle, Cando and Forman. They also owned and operated The Town Pump in Luverne, ND. They retired to Sibley, ND. William died in 1989. Shirley later moved to Valley City. In March of 2012, she moved to Rock of Ages in Jamestown, then moving to Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor in October of 2014. Shirley enjoyed sewing, quilting, making many quilts with Luverne church ladies for world relief, reading, gardening and hummingbirds. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Duane) Hoggarth, Jamestown; son, William "Bill" (Sharon) Fletcher, Fargo, ND; daughter, Sandra (Tilmer) Gienger, Valley City, ND; brother, John "Jack" (LaVonne) Leick, Vergas, MN; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister-in laws, Nancy Fletcher, Delores Fletcher, Corrine Knowles; brother-in-law, Duane Carlson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, June Schneiderhan, brother, Richard Leick and baby, Fredrick William.
Funeral Service: Friday, November 28 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Tom Eckstein, officiating.
Visitation: one hour before service at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND.
