Shirley Darlene Johnson

Shirley Johnson, 79, of Otsego, Minnesota died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the University of Minnesota Hospital, Minneapolis, MN.
Shirley Johnson was born March 13, 1937 in Marion, ND the daughter of Elliot and Sena (Lura) Johnson. They lived on a farm near Marion, ND for several years, later moving to a farm near Ypsilanti, ND where she attended country schools. The family moved to Hastings, ND where she graduated from High School in 1955. After graduation Shirley moved to Hopkins, MN where she began employment at E.F. Haugton factory. She met and married Wayne Johnson on July 2, 1960. She then worked for the US Postal Service and retired from there after 20 years. Wayne died June 4, 1999.
Shirley is survived by two sisters, Velma Fruetel, Grand Forks, ND; Doris Orr, Jamestown, ND; one sister in law, Blanche Johnson, Jamestown. Many neices and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Florence and Laverne in infancy, Frances Wangrud, Helen Hoffart, and Lorraine Wibstad. Three brothers, Earl, Lloyd, and Lester Johnson.
Funeral Service; 1:30 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Eddy Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lucinda Lien.
Visitation; 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial; James Valley Cemetery, Ypsilanti, ND
