Siemen Goter

Siemen Goter, 72, Lisbon, formerly of Carrington, ND , died Friday, January 16, 2004 at Lisbon Area Health Services. Siemen Goter was born August 17, 1931 in Conklin Township, ND to Ernest and Elsie (Raimen) Goter. He attended school in Woodworth graduating in 1949. Siemen worked on the family farm until 1957 when he entered the U.S. Army. He served from 1957 to 1959. After the service Siemen farmed with his dad near Woodoworth until 1987. Siemen drove truck from 1982 until he became ill in 1999. He was a member of VFW, American Legion and served on several township boards. He enjoyed working, bowling, deer hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons Darin (Bev) Goter and Todd (Shelley) Goter, both from Jamestown; four grandchildren; two sisters, Diana Ball, Llano, TX and Erma Lindvall, McVille, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Esther, Luella, Erlina and one brother, Walter.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Grace Lutheran Church, Carrington, with Pastor Richard Biberdorf officiating.

Visitation: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Gem Cemetery, Woodworth, North Dakota.
