Stanley Brower

Stanley Brower, 79, Millarton, North Dakota died Monday, June 13, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND.

Stanley was born July 13, 1925 in Harvey, North Dakota the son of Edward and Gena (Stensholt) Brower. He grew up in Cogswell, ND and graduated from Cogswell High School in 1943. Stanley entered the US Navy in 1943 and served until 1946. He married Audrey Carpenter on September 9, 1947 in Britton, South Dakota. They moved to Millarton in 1950 where they made their home for 55 years. Stanley worked for Vining Oil Company as a Bulk Oil Dealer for 40 years retiring in 1990. Audrey died on November 9, 2004.

Stanley enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Stanley is survived by one daughter, Judy Thornsberry, Little Rock, AR; three sons, Richard J. (Marlene) Brower, Riverton, WY; Thomas Brower (Tammy O'Donnell, fiance), Gillette, WY and James (Karen) Brower, Grand Forks, ND; nine grandchildren, Lisa Thornsberry, Kristy Brower Malone, Scott Thornsberry, Andy Brower, Brian Brower, Carrie Brower, Laura Brower, Daniel Brower and Robert Brower; two great-grandchildren, Jake Brower and Taylor Brower and one sister, Gwinevere Neil, Worthington, MN.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey and parents.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Duane Cote, celebrant.

No visitation is scheduled.

Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, North Dakota.
