Stella Joan Comer

Stella Joan Comer, 66, Jamestown, N.D., died Sunday, December 29, 2002 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

Stella Maas was born April 4, 1936 in Hazen, N.D., the daughter of Bernhard and Emma (Reich) Maas. She grew up and received her education in Hazen, graduating from Hazen High School in 1954.

She married Arnold ""Arnie"" Comer on December 27, 1956 in McHenry, N.D. They made their home in Jamestown, N.D. She worked for the North Dakota State Hospital for over 40 years, retiring in May of 1999. Arnie died on June 24, 1988.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Jamestown. She enjoyed her faithful poodle, Pooh, having coffee company, bargin hunting, and her family and friends.

Stella is survived by four children, Bruce Maas, Prairie, WI; Susan (Terry) Clemens, Sheridan, WY; Steve (Teresa) Comer, Jamestown, N.D.; Curt Comer, Reno, NV; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Berneice (Lawrence) Heyd, Fargo, N.D. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Arnold.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. - Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at St. John's Lutheran Church - Jamestown, N.D. with Rev. Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Visitation: Tuesday, December 31, 2002 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Eddy Funeral Home - Jamestown, N.D.

Burial: St. John's Lutheran Cemetery - New Rockford, N.D.
