Susan Wait

Susan Wait, 75, Bismarck, ND died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown, ND.

Susan Oakes was born August 4, 1937 in Eagle Butte, SD, the daughter of Charles H. and Hilda (Melletine) Oakes. She graduated from Glendive, MT high school. On July 11, 1959 Susan married Larry C. Wait. They moved to Bismarck where she worked many years at Cash Wise Foods.

Susan was a member of TOPS #ND182 in Bismarck for more than 20 years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading and loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Susan is survived by two daughters, Edith N. Wait, Jamestown and Roberta J. (Edward) Barnhardt, Washburn, ND; five grandchildren, Jackie Wait, Fargo, ND, Dylan, Bryce and Tyler Barnhardt, all of Washburn, ND, and Randy Wait, Lincoln, ND; and two great-grandchildren, Peighton Wait, New Salem, ND and Joshua Wait, Lincoln, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, one in infancy and three brothers.
