Sylvia Ester Nutt

Sylvia Ester Nutt, 90, Arthur, ND formerly from Wimbledon, ND passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND. Sylvia had been living at the Good Samaritan Home in Arthur since 2013.
Sylvia was born on October 16, 1924, to Albert and Marie (Nelson) Miller, Courtenay, ND, where she met and later married Albert Everett Nutt on August 28, 1942 in Jamestown, ND. They lived southwest of Wimbledon and farmed until 1968. They moved to Wimbledon and continued to farm until 1978. Sylvia was a cook at the school in Wimbledon for a few years. She also made many wedding cakes for family and local people. She loved to quilt and do crafts which occupied the majority of her time. Sylvia loved to be with her family and friend and cherished those times. Sylvia was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wimbledon.
Sylvia is survived by two daughters, Connie (Roy) Hakanson, Eugene, Ore, Janet (Jeff) Brilz, Hunter, ND; one daughter-in-law, Brandy Nutt, Rock Springs, Wyo.; four grandchildren, Robert (Sue) Nutt II, Kingsville, MD, Holly Nutt, Minneapolis, MN, Stacey Nutt, Rock Springs, Wyo., Becky Nutt, Denver, CO, Becca Brown, Rock Springs Wyo.; three great-grandchildren, Amanda Nutt, Robert Nutt III, Harley Nutt, all of Maryland; special friends to the family, Vangie & Larry Herpal, Proctor, MN, Carmen Larson, Jamestown, ND; one sister-in-law, Jo (Bill) Nutt, Valparaiso, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, two sons, Robert and Darol, parents, two brothers, Oscar and Roy Miller, two sisters, Alpha Walker and Mathilda Wester.

Funeral service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 26 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wimbledon, ND with Pastor Robert Hill, officiating.
Visitation: 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, September 25 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Prayer service: 7:00 PM, Friday, September 25 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens.
