Teresa Rae Steele

June 2, 1959 — August 1, 2013

Our dearly loved and cherished Teresa Rae (Luck) Steele, 54, of Jamestown, N.D. (former Adrian resident) passed away Thursday at Essentia Health in Fargo. Her cause of death is metastatic breast cancer, which she had been battling for four years. A prayer service will be held at Victory Lutheran Church in Jamestown at 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 4th. The funeral service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Monday, August 5th at 10:30 a.m. No visitation is scheduled. Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown is in charge of arrangements.

Teresa was born June 2nd, 1959, to parents Elvin and Evangeline (Schrenk) Luck, at Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown, N.D. She attended school in Montpelier, N.D., and graduated in 1977 from Montpelier High School. She then attended Dickenson State University in Dickenson, N.D. from 1977-1978. Following that, she started her career in 1978 at the NDSU Extension Service Stutsman County as an administrative assistant for 35 years.

Teresa married the love of her life, Chad Steele in Bismarck, N.D. on June 12th, 2004. They live in Jamestown, N.D.

Teresa also taught Sunday school at St. John's Lutheran Church, touching many young lives and teaching the word of God. She was also the money manager for the RSVP Dakota Store at the Frontier Village in Jamestown for the past three years. She has received multiple awards and recognitions in her lifetime. She was presently on the ND State CHANGE Agent for Diversity Committee for the past 6 years, was one of two state-wide Pesticide Certification Support Staff Trainers, was on several planning committees for multiple state-wide support staff conferences, and recently received the Customer Service Award in July, 2013 by the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce.

Teresa loved and cherished time with friends and family, including her loyal golden-retriever companion, Buddy. These moments meant everything to her. Her heart was filled with love and gratitude for her "chick fest" friends and those that planned her cancer benefit including Gayle Gruebele, Corrine Glynn, Karen Hintzman, Gloria Marker, Carla VanDyke, Lori Vesel, Kristen Weber, Eunice Sahr, Deb Backer, Lori Dally, Christine Tittenbach, and Joann Putnam.

She is survived by her husband, Chad of Jamestown; her children, KayLee Luck (26) of Fargo, Brenden Pollert (18) of Grafton, Nicole Steele (17) of Jamestown, Alexis Anderson(11) of Englevale, and Jadyn Pollert(13) of Jamestown; her grandchildren, Brody Enninful and Lily Falowo of Fargo, Elli Redden of Jamestown; and her parents, Elvin and Evangeline Luck of Adrian; her brothers, Lee Luck (Carla Johnson) of Ypsi, N.D. and James (Joline) Luck of Adrian, N.D.; her mother-in-law, Joanne Kleese of Jamestown; her father-in-law, Merlin (Sharon) Steele of Jamestown, her brother-in-law; Troy Steele of Bismarck, her sister-in-law, Tammy Gasal of West Fargo, N.D, and her dog and loyal companion, Buddy.

Teresa enjoyed her time with her beloved nieces and nephews, Morgan (Ben) and Zane Luck of Vero Beach, FL., Victoria Luck of Fargo, Evan (Carla) Johnson of Ypsi, Wyatt, Colten, Hayden, and Ethan Luck of Adrian, Mackenzie, Blayke, and Talexi Gasal of West Fargo, Arianna, Katrina, and Jacob Steele of Bismarck.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Margaret (Rademan) Luck, Julius and Christina (Schwartz) Schrenk; and sister-in-law, Marena Steele.
